I've come across some great reads this year and wanted to share recommendations with friends and family who enjoy books.
"Rich AF" by Vivian Tu: Initially, I didn't expect to enjoy this book, not because I consider myself already wealthy, but because I have my own financial strategies. However, since the book was free, I decided to give it a chance. It turned out to be a valuable resource for anyone looking to improve their financial situation. It covers beginner-level information on saving, investing, and side hustling. If you're interested, give it a read and let me know your thoughts!
"The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck" by Mark Manson: Despite its provocative title, the book isn't about disregarding everything. Instead, it focuses on redefining priorities and where to invest our energy. It emphasizes the importance of focusing on what truly matters in life and letting go of distractions. I found many of the concepts aligned with my own beliefs and practices. Chapter 9, "And Then You Die," particularly resonated with me, as it discusses coping with grief and using it as motivation to pursue meaningful goals. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a fresh perspective.
I have a few more too but this is all the time I had to throw a blog together, which is also a new thing…..I will share more here soon!
I enjoy reading because, apart from spending quality time with my family, focusing on design, painting, markers, and work takes up most of my time, leaving little room for other entertainment activities. To manage my time effectively, I have developed a system where I primarily read physical books and supplement with audiobooks while I'm working or traveling for side projects. While Spotify offers 15 free hours of audiobook content every month for premium users, it's not technically free. It's all about finding ways to optimize my time. If you found value in this message, that's all I could hope for.
Thank you!
